yesterday, after doing a gazillion chores, i went with my sister to buy groceries. we dropped by a booksale branch, and i got me three books for only one hundred pesos. my three finds are monkfish moon and other stories by romesh gunesekera (to replace the copy stolen from me several years ago), the news from paraguay by lily tuck  (national book award winner), and the road to wellville by t. c. boyle. i’m happy because i’m a huge fan of boyle and gunesekera and i’ve heard much about tuck’s work but i’ve never read her.
